George Maliwat, Registered Physiotherapist B.SC. (honours), M.Sc. (PHysiotherapy)
George graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences prior to completing his Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2021.
He has a profound interest in musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions and continues to refine his skills through complex courses in areas such as manual therapy, acupuncture, myofascial release, and active release techniques. In his assessment and treatment, he uses a holistic approach combined with hands-on treatment complemented with exercise prescription.
George has always had an interest in sports injuries. He was a medical volunteer at the Niagara 2022 Canada Games for the softball games. He was mainly involved in providing first aid care and treatment for injured athletes including taping, bandaging, and wound care. George was also involved in assisting field sports doctors in evaluating and monitoring athletes with suspected concussions.
Outside of physiotherapy, George enjoys going to the gym and playing basketball.
